I was invited speaker at the Rise of AI conference in Berlin May 2018. Rise of AI is one of Europe's most exclusive conference for decision makers and opinion leaders.

I was invited to speak on a European Parliament Science and Technology Options Assessment panel with Steven Pinker, Thomas Metzinger, Olle Haggstrom, and Miles Brundage. A fascinating experience! (They even had an artist to draw us for the promotional material.)

I was interviewed by BBC Click in response to the open letter to the United Nations by Elon Musk and others that have called for a ban on the use of AI in managing weaponry before it reaches a "Pandora's Box" moment.

I was invited to be on the The Impact of AI on Design, Manufacturing, & Robotics panel at CogX this year. CogX is an inaugural event run by CognitionX, in association with The Alan Turing Institute, bringing together business leaders, government officials and leading academics through talks, panels and breakout sessions.

I was asked for a quote by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers for an article. I commented that the best placed industries for AI are those with good automation and monitoring already in place so that the AI technologies can use the data in order to optimise and improve the processes.
